Twice a year we invite ONE AND ALL to explore a magical world music festival where the very best of music, art, and culture join together to strengthen community through the power of creativity. LEAF Festival takes place on the site of the old Historic Black Mountain College with a stunning mix of rolling hills, lakes, streams, and mountain beauty on hundreds of acres of comfortable camping grounds.
LEAF scowers the globe for artists, musicians, performers, entertainers, presenters, and teachers that not only are the great in their craft, but who also care deeply for education through arts. Many of our musicians and artists not only offer multiple shows at our festival, but remain within our community for up to a week before the event to teach in school residencies, perform in local showcases, and share their gifts with children of all ages to help engender a culture of service through the arts.
LEAF Community Arts is a non-profit organization in which all donations and festival profit goes towards music and arts education programming locally and globally! Since 2004 we have served over 41,000 youth with programs in over 15 community locations and in 10 countries worldwide. Your attendance at LEAF not only provides you with an amazing weekend experience for your friends and family, but supports those without opportunity to live their dreams through music and arts.
The Venture Local Street Fair cultivates a community of local artists, designers, makers, collectors and entrepreneurs. By closing both Banks and Buxton Ave. in the South Slope of downtown, we create a supportive environment where small businesses grow. We encourage the community to engage with the maker while supporting our local economy. Regional small business resources will be showcased for those inspired to embark on or expand their own ideas.
You will also find delectable eats and drinks & some of our best food trucks. Throughout the fair discover interactive DIY booths, curiosities and kid’s activities. Businesses in the area will provide festive programming including Sow True Seed’s Garlic Fest, local music, tours, tastings and workshops.
Roam the streets of the South Slope, some of our region’s finest talent awaits you.
On September 26th and 27th, Franny's Farm will host the farm's third annual ASHEVILLE BARNAROO Music Festival, founded by Andrew Scotchie Entertainment. The festival began when a group of young adults realized they could not get into Bonnaroo Festival, and decided to create their own. From there, the ASHEVILLE BARNAROO Festival ran for several years on the Andrew Scotchie family land in Weaverville, NC, welcoming friends and musicians from near and far. In 2013 the festival moved to Franny's Farm in Leicester. It was time to expand the experience and invite even more friends. BARNAROO is a regional festival (camping optional) that celebrates the spirit of regional and local rock and roll. A portion of festival proceeds will also go to benefit Asheville Music School. We're ready with a stellar lineup for 2015, with some returning musicians and some new additions to the BARNAROO family. Get ready to ROCK THE BARN!!!!!!!!!Asheville Screen Printing will be onsite and will have 2015 Barnaroo T-Shirts available for purchase.

The festival hosts numerous artists, performing on 13 stages during the course of the four-day event. The annual event has become the primary fundraiser for the WCC Endowment Corporation, funding scholarships, capital projects and other educational needs.
